SEC has completed another massive housing project recently. "The Sayurupura" at Moratuwa, will be a landmark with 228 housing units. The nine storied building units with other infrastructure facilities of water tank, community center, generators, children's park, treatment plant, car park, fire protection system are included. The one housing unit spans to 632 sqft2 includetwo bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, balcony and visiting area. The total cost for the project is Rs. 1225 Million.  

The project was ceremonially declared to open by His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksha along with Hon. Minister Wimal Weerawansa.

The H.E the President stated that 'housing problem is a major issue for the people who live in coastal area. We understood your problem. When was the Minister of Fisheries, These issue were existed even at that time Tsunami disaster had wiped out more than 4000 houses in these area. However we discussed this with the Authorities and we implemented this project for you. I'm very happy that you now have a life beyond those shanties where you lived. Make a better future for your children with this opportunity and I wish you the best'.
